It is no surprise to most everyone that knows me that I love to save a dollar. Friday night I went to a "Coupon Class" at my church. Jenn from http://www.southernsavers.com came and taught the course. I am a Walmart shopper for my groceries and personal items, but according to Jenn better deals are to be found elsewhere. She gave us some great tips on buying and stocking up when items are at the rock bottom price. Did you know that grocery stores run on a 6 week cycle for sales........the corn that is on sale this week will not be on sale again for 6 weeks. I am going to do this for 6 weeks and see what happens. Today I set out on my first trip to CVS (Jenn loves CVS). Below you will find what I bought and my savings. I was pretty excited.

I got back 4.00 in Extra Care Bucks

I am going to gather coupons and follow Southern Saver for 6 weeks to see if I can lower my spending my more than 30%. Any tips for this newcomer????

Friends and Family
Friday we kicked off the weekend celebrating Alex's graduation. Alex graduated from nursing school on Friday. Congrats Allie!!
Saturday morning we started our Mother's Day celebration with Ms.Lillie. We went to breakfast and then B headed to the golf course and the girls went for pedicures. Saturday night we headed to Brad's for a pig pickin'. It was so nice to spend time with the crew. I miss so much living 5 minutes from them so every moment I get I cherish. Sunday we celebrated the day with my family.

Viva Las Vegas
"O"
Last Friday we headed to Las Vegas for a few days. My Uncle Horace goes several times a year and he invited us to go. It happened to be perfect timing for our 1 year anniversary. So we headed out with about 20 people Vegas bound. We saw some beautiful sites, ate lots of yummy food and went to see 2 amazing shows. We saw "O" and "Jersey Boys". The shows were complete opposites. If you enjoy music "Jersey Boys" is the show for you and if you want to be amazed "O" is your show. B, Elizabeth,Daddy and Terry
Derby Day
Picking your pony. I picked the winner "Supper Saver" (Thanks Mom!). I won $250 for picking the winning horse. :)
Uncle Horace and Gabrielle
The entrance of our hotel.
B watches the show Pawn Stars on the History channel. We had to find the pawn shop while we were in Vegas. This pawn shop has everything from Olympic gold medal to championship rings. Bryan and I walked 6 MILES to get to the pawn shop and we took the taxi back 6 miles. :) The things you will do for your husband.Last Sunday we celebrated our 1 year anniversary with breakfast in bed complements of my Dad, Terry, Uncle Horace and Gabrielle. It was wonderful. While I was in Las Vegas I feel in love with eggs benedict. I can't believe that Bryan and I have been married for one year. This past year has been special and we have experienced many first along the way. I am so thankful to share my life with Bryan. I love you B!!
