What Do you Recommend??

A couple of years ago a few we started a Ladies Bible Study on Tuesday nights and it has been such a blessing. We have had the opportunity to grow so much together. We have done a couple Beth Moore studies, a Angela Thomas study, and a few Woman of Faith studies. We in the process of trying to decide what to do for the fall. Have you done a study recently that you would recommend?? If you do I would love to hear from you.

A Deal for REAL!!!

My Saturday morning was pretty eventful. I started off by going for a 6 mile run with some girls in the neighborhood. That is for me a HUGE deal considering that I have never ran more than 4 miles at one time. After that I was ready for yardsale fun. The best part was all the yardsales were in my neighborhood. Above is a lamp I found. I paid a little too much for this one...$25. I really like it!
I can't pass up a bunny for $1.

My favorite DEAL I got this chair for $5 dollars. This chair came from a very upsale furniture store in our town and I could not believe the price. The cushion is worn so I will have to have it recovered. I have been wanting to do some different fabrics on one piece of furniture so I am so excited! I will show it to you when I get it covered. Wedding Dress-Kelly's Blog

I thought I would join in on Kelly's blog and share my wedding dress. Everyone said the moment that you find the dress you will know, but I did not fall into that category. I loved a lot of dresses, but EVERYONE came back to this one. The veil was my Aunt Angie's from her big day 31 years ago. It was very old fashioned and everyone could not believe I was going to use it. I had a vision that I could not explain and one night I got out the scissors and hot glue gun and it came to life. Yard Sale

I LOVE to save a dollar and I have found that you can find some great treasures at yard sales. I decided to head out Saturday morning to see what I could find. I went to an estate sale first and I saw lots of pretty things, but nothing I really needed. After that I was ready for some coffee so I could not decide if I really wanted to continue on my adventure. I talked myself into going to at least one more stop. I put the address in the GPS and I was on my way. It took what seemed like forever to get there. I pulled up and immediatly the artwork caught my eye.

This one was $1 and I think I may use it in my kitchen.

This one was $4 and it had a price tag on it for $150.

These 2 are my favorites and I got both for $5. I am going to hang them in my foyer. They were brand new with the tags of $150 each still on them.

I found out that the lady's husband was in the business of selling artwork at the furniture market and he has decided to get out of the business. I was amazed that I got 4 pictures ready to go for $10. I sure am glad that I let my coffee wait. :)

Proud Moments!!

I hope that you don't mind if I brag just a little bit. My brother, Zack, is preparing to deploy again in August. He is taking a couple of weeks to rest and relax before he goes to serve our country. He has had very little time off in the past 2 years since he joined the Army and this week during his leave he decided to go be a camp counselor at Cragmont. As a child he went to this camp and his wife, Alex, goes each year to be a counselor so this year they decided they would go together. When he told me I was thinking are you sure and do you remember that you have NO patience. When he got to camp on Monday he was assigned to the 15,16, and 17 year old boys that did not want to be at a "church camp". When my mom told me that I thought this should be interesting, but I forgot that Zack can make a walk down the street interesting. By Tuesday they had started bonding and in Zack's words "This week has been awesome". Zack called and told my mom that it is amazing to see God work in young peoples lives. As you can tell I am so proud of Zack and Alex for giving up a week to go serve. Alex's family has gone to camp as a camper or counselor for years and I think that is really neat. Tonight is the last night and service so I ask you to remember those impressionable lives in your prayers and ask God to move. Zack and Allie I am so proud to call you my brother and sister!! Keep serving him!

Face Lift!!

Not much going on tonight at the Radford house. We are enjoying summer...reading good books, nightly walks with Dowdy, and working on the house. I hope that you are having a great summer too!!

Weekend Fun & Wedding Pictures

We had party after party this weekend. We started out on Friday with the Greenville crew, Matthew, Mary Beth, Bailey, Caroline and Justin coming to Wilson to grill out. Then on Saturday we celebrated Ms. Lillie and Caden's birthday. We spent Father's Day our Dads, Uncle Charles and Papa. It was really nice to relax a little and not do housework all weekend. :)
On Sunday night we celebrated Father's Day with our Dads. We went to eat at a Wilson favorite Parker's BBQ. That is both our Dads favorite so it worked out really well.

On Saturday we celebrated Caden's 1st Birthday in Kinston. We had so much fun. We wish you many more Caden. I had to get a picture of two of my favorites Whitlee and Caden.
